A new program is looking to help Tulsa businesses market their products to people here in Green Country.

The Tulsa Global District is looking for five businesses in the area of 21st and Garnett that need help growing their presence on social media.

Global District Executive Director Luisa Krug said sites like Instagram and TikTok are great tools to bring new customers into businesses like restaurants and clothing stores.

But Krug said while different strategies work for different businesses, those that effectively use social media can get more people through the door.

"Knowing just how people find food, find retail, those sort of things on social media is really crucial to bringing new customers," Krug said. "If you're trying to reach the broader Tulsa audience, I think it's really important to have engaging content on social media."

Krug said this is a free pilot program and is only for five businesses. It'll include $1,000 worth of digital advertising. It's funded by a grant from the Kaiser Family Foundation.

While businesses near 21st and Garnett are prioritized, applications for everyone are open. CLICK HERE for more information.
