Ingredients
- 4 cups of corn oil
- Yellow corn tortillas, cut into triangular wedges
- 3 tablespoons of taco seasoning
- 1/2 teaspoon of True Lime seasoning powder
- 1/2 teaspoon of salt
Instructions
- Heat oil: Pour corn oil into a large stockpot until it's about 1/2 inch deep. Heat it to 360 degrees Fahrenheit.
- Prep Baking Sheet: Prepare a baking sheet lined with paper towels for easy draining.
- Cut Tortillas: Cut the tortillas into triangular wedges by halving them and then cutting each half into thirds.
- Fry: Once the oil reaches 360 degrees Fahrenheit, carefully place the tortilla wedges into the hot oil and fry until they turn golden brown on all sides.
- Remove: Remove the fried tortilla chips from the oil and place them on the paper towel-lined baking sheet to drain any excess oil.
- Make seasoning: In a small bowl, combine the taco seasoning, True Lime seasoning powder, and salt.
- Season: Sprinkle the seasoning mixture evenly over the freshly fried tortilla chips.
- Cool: Allow the chips to cool completely before transferring them to an airtight container for storage.
