'We Just Want To Bring Him Home:' Family Asks Public For Help In Search For Missing Tuttle Man

A metro family is desperate for answers as they search for a missing family member. 30-year-old Keith Carlson was last seen leaving his home in Tuttle almost two weeks ago.

"He was a homebody for sure," Jennifer Bost, Carlson’s sister, said.

His family calls him shy, loving, and a dedicated uncle. "He was obsessed with my little one," Bost said.

She says his leaving without warning is out of character. "We were making plans for his birthday coming up," she explained.

On Tuesday, May 21, Carlson was seen by a neighbor leaving his home in Tuttle. "His phone was off, it went straight to voicemail," Bost said.

For days Bost and her mother waited to hear from him. "And then on the 24, which was Friday, the park rangers called us," she said.

Park rangers said her brother’s truck had been parked at the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge since May 21. When no one returned to the vehicle by Friday, they searched it and found the doors unlocked and the license plate missing.

"It feels numb like there's no way this could be real," Bost said.

Law enforcement conducted ground searches by foot and ATV but couldn’t locate Carlson or clues to what happened to him. "They've conducted all the searches they'll do until more tips come in," Bost said.

Carlson's family is now funding more search efforts on their own. “It's 66,000 acres and we've searched about 1,200-1,500 acres," Bost said. “It adds up pretty quickly.”

But Carlson’s family isn't ready to give up. "We just want to bring him home, whatever that looks like at this point," Bost said.
