Oklahoma City Woman Charged Following Mother's Death In 2023

An Oklahoma City woman has been charged with first-degree murder in the death of her sick mother.

According to court filings, Jaye Dee Watts told police “it sucks being a 24/7 caregiver."

Investigators said camera videos from inside the family’s northeast Oklahoma City home show Watts give her mother, Linda Watts, a gun and told her to "do what she wanted with it."

Court documents said when Watts heard gunfire from Lynda’s room, she did not call 911, and instead reached out to other people who then alerted authorities.
