Four people were injured, and three of them were transported to local hospitals with burn injuries after an explosion at an oil site in Bradley, according to Grady County officials.

Four people were injured, and three of them were transported to local hospitals with burn injuries after an explosion at an oil site in Bradley, according to Grady County officials.

Authorities say that the scene is on County Street 2920 north of State Highway 19.

According to the Grady County Sheriff's Office, the incident was caused by 'a blowback on a rig'.

Red Rocks Oil & Gas Operating released this statement on Tuesday:

"Yesterday at around 2 p.m., the Newby 2 Well near Bradley, Oklahoma, suddenly and unexpectedly ignited. Four men who are employed by two Red Rocks Oil and Gas Operating contractors were taken to a local hospital. Two of them remain hospitalized. While we continue to investigate, our prayers are steadfast with and for all affected by this tragic incident, especially the injured men and their families."
