The Porch Visits New Summer Camp From The Academy Of Contemporary Music At UCO

If you're looking for a summer camp that features loud and live music, "Rock Band Camp" from The Academy of Contemporary Music at the University of Central Oklahoma might be the one for you.

ACM at UCO in Bricktown has put together a new summer camp for kids that is packed with all kinds of cool riffs and drum beats, called "Rock Band Camp."

News 9's Jordan Ryan took the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to the Academy of Contemporary Music to check out this new and unique summer camp.

The camp features young, aspiring rockstars, ages 14 and up that play and perform a set-list of some of their favorite rock songs.

Danny, the camp director, shared why this is a cool and unique experience for younger local musicians to build their talent with other like-minded students.

"They pick the tunes that they love, and we get them performance-ready. On Friday, we do a concert for their family and friends," Danny said.
