OKC Police Launch Homicide Investigation After Woman’s Body Found In Southeast OKC

A woman's body was discovered outside a Walgreens at Southeast 44th Street and South Shields Boulevard. Oklahoma City Police officials had little information about the woman who was found. 

OKC Police Capt. Michelle Henderson said a passerby noticed a woman’s body lying in the drive-through of that Walgreens late Thursday afternoon. When investigators arrived, they said they found areas of trauma on the woman’s body. OKCPD called homicide investigators who began piecing together what happened. 

The section of Walgreens where the body was found is not in operation, so it is unclear how long the body was there. As of Thursday night, the identity of the woman is unknown, and police officials had no suspect(s). 

“We do not know who she is right now,” Henderson said. “We are working on that. working on suspects; working our investigation here at the scene. Very preliminary right now.”
