Thousands of people visited Oklahoma Comic-Con at the Cox Business Convention Center this weekend.
Fans got to meet more than two dozen celebrities.
First-timers and people who had been to Comic-Cons in other cities all said they were surprised by how much people in Green Country are into Comic-Con culture, and they hope there will be more events like this in Tulsa.
Voice actors were a big hit over the weekend, especially the voice of Super Mario.
First-time attendee, Orion Springer, said "To get a photo with the Charles Martinet is like literally one of the best things in my life."
Another attendee, TJ Williams, said, "He signed our copy of Mario Odyssey which is the first game that me and him ever beat together, the copy that he bought with his own birthday money."
Williams has been to other Comic-Cons, but this weekend was his son, Grayson's first.
Williams says sharing this experience with his son is special, a great way to do something they both love and a reason to get out of the house.
"We spend all summer indoors playing games actually, getting to go out and see the characters and seeing people enjoy the things that you enjoy and enjoying it with them, and it's good exercise," said Williams.
Williams was dressed in a Luigi Ghostbuster suit, but the other costumes sparked his creativity.
"Even if it's something I may not know personally like a Luigi or Ghostbusters I enjoy learning about it from the people that are the most excited about it," said Williams
Riley Finch experienced her first Comic-Con. She says the exciting atmosphere makes her want to come back next year.
Riley Finch, an attendee, said, "I feel like everyone feels represented in a way like, I like Stranger Things a lot. I didn't expect to find a lot of Stranger Things items, and I did; that's really cool."
And if you didn't make the event, Scott Inness, the voice of Scooby Doo, has a message for Green Country.
"So, if you didn't come out today and see us at the Comic-Con you missed out, but the good news is we'll be back next year, Scooby Dooby-Doo and Channel 6 too," Inness said.
Oklahoma Comic-Con says they plan to host the event next year in Tulsa around the same time and at the same place.
