Kevin Wilson Gives Update On Quarterback Position Heading Into First Game

Tulsa is set to play Northwest State on Aug. 29. Kevin Wilson says Kirk Francis will go first at quarterback.

TULSA, Okla. -

Kevin Wilson met with the media to preview Tulsa's first game with Northwestern State. The question on everyone's mind during the course of fall camp has been regarding the position battle at quarterback.

Wilson was not ready to name a starter for the opener.

"Kirk will go out as the first quarterback," said Wilson. "He's not our starter. "The other guys are playing pretty good, so I think I am going to play them and see how it goes."

The other guys are Cooper Legas a transfer from Utah State and Cardell Williams, who started 4 games last season while playing in 9.

"Kirk has had a great summer, he's had a great preseason but those other guys have too."
