Many people forget to take some time out of their day to do a little workout.

Exercise specialist Mo Smith of Bailey Bariatrics joined LeAnne Taylor on News On 6 to explain how "mini-workouts" will help us in the long run.

Smith said that five-minute intervals of stretching or doing HIIT (high intensity interval training) can reduce cortisol, which is a stress hormone that produces fat.

Sitting on a stability ball and using stretch bands are just two of the ways to get a quick workout while sitting at a desk.
