Retired Sergeant Karl Hartzke Remembered By Law Enforcement Agencies

Several Green Country law enforcement agencies are mourning the loss of a retired Sergeant known to serve communities.

Catoosa Police as Sergeant Karl Hartzke worked with their department until his retirement in 2016.

"It's with great sorrow that we announce the passing of retired Sergeant Karl Hartzke," Catoosa Police said in a Facebook post. "He was always a great partner and I'm sure many people have stories to tell. He will be missed and our thoughts are with the family."

In 1985, Hartzke joined The Owasso Police Department as an officer. The department says he worked there until the early 90s.

Owasso Police said he made the city safer during his time there.

Catoosa Police say he was a great partner and will be deeply missed.

Police say Hartzke didn't want a service but will have a wake at a later date.
