Firefighters responded to a building fire near Highway 412 and 257th East Avenue in Catoosa at around 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
Neighbors reported hearing several explosions coming from the area.
The fire was put out by several responding fire departments.
At one point, it was billowing black smoke high into the air, and flames could be seen for miles.
Firefighters said the fire was contained in one building. They said there were chemicals inside, which is what caused the explosions.
"We don't know the cause yet," said Chief Riley Shepherd of the Oak Grove Fire Department. "It's a manufacturing company that does concrete epoxy for flooring. So, there are a lot of stored chemicals in there. Those are stored in very large drums, 55-gallon drums, so those were the explosions heard."
Firefighters said no one was inside the building when the fire happened, and no one was hurt.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
