The Tulsa Performing Arts Center is set to host the regional premiere of the musical "Waitress," courtesy of Theatre Tulsa. Audiences can look forward to an enchanting night filled with pies, romance, and a recipe for happiness.

Actors Makayla Baxter, who plays Jenna, and Andrew Barker, who plays Dr. Pomatter, stopped by the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to talk about the musical and perform the song, "It Only Takes a Taste."

"Waitress" is based on the 2007 film and tells the story of Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker who finds herself trapped in a small town with a loveless marriage.

Grammy Award winner Sara Barailles provides the musical's score, bringing to life a tale of an unexpected pregnancy, dreams of entrepreneurship, and newfound courage.

The highly anticipated regional premiere of "Waitress" is set to mark the start of Theatre Tulsa's 102nd Season, promising an enthralling and significant event for both the cast and audiences alike.

The remaining performances are on Friday, Sept. 20 at 8 p.m. and two shows on Saturday, Sept. 21 at 2 p.m. and 8 p.m.
