Local World War II Veteran Celebrates 100th Birthday

A World War II veteran celebrated his 100th birthday this weekend in Tulsa with friends and family.

Harvey Brown was born in Arkansas on Sept. 14, 1924.

He worked for American Airlines and served as a B-17 mechanic and gunner in World War II.

He says had he not been drafted, he would have tried to become a Major League Baseball player.

He played fiddle in multiple bands and said he still drives and does his own grocery shopping.
