Kevin Wilson Previews Matchup With Army After Disappointing Loss At North Texas

The Golden Hurricane defense held the Mean Green scoreless for the first 20 minutes of the game Saturday night, but then the floodgates opened.

UNT rattled off 24 points in the final FIVE minutes of the first half and scored 3 touchdowns in the third quarter. 45 unanswered points put the game out of reach for TU. Kevin Wilson addressed the media on Monday for a recap of North Texas and a look ahead to Saturday's game against Army at 11 a.m.

“Offensively, we did some good things, but it's three weeks a row where we are not scoring enough points, not getting in the end zone, so it's not gonna win," said Wilson. “So we got some work to do on offense, we got to put it together, passing game, only 44% completions, well, we gave up a sack or two, but our quarterback got hit way too much, protection was poor."

Army will be another significant challenge for Tulsa. They are currently second in the nation in rushing attempts and their defense is first in the American Conference in several different statistics. You can watch the entire Kevin Wilson press conference above.
