As show time inched closer, Hannah Lollis and her family got to experience magic at the fair.

"It's my pleasure to introduce you to the star of the show, put your hands together, and welcome your Lady Houdini, Kristen Johnson," the host announced.

It's a show that Hannah herself got to be a part of.

"Everybody give me a big round of applause for Hannah please."

Kristen Johnson has performed escape artistry for 24 years.

"What I do is dangerous, so for that reason I need to make sure that I am paying attention to everything that is going on with my equipment, with my skills, making sure that I am doing everything the same way every single time," she said.

As she escaped from strait jackets, upside down suspended from the ceiling or switched clothes with people while tied up in ropes, there was one trick that stood out.

"If I'm going to go through that training for a year to be able to hold my breath and get up to five minutes and two seconds on a static, then I want you to watch," Johnson said.

Houdini himself was known for escaping the water torture cell 1,000 times. Johnson has surpassed that, "I'm at 3,197 tonight," she said.

The only person to complete the escape in the open, Johnson prepared herself with final breaths before plunging into the water, filling her audience with anticipation of her escape.

"This is probably the most nerve-racking part," Hannah said.

As minutes went by, Lady Houdini picked the locks, holding onto the air she had left.

"You got it, you got it," said Hannah.

Lady Houdini made her grand escape, leaving Hannah and the rest of the audience in awe.

"That was amazing, woah," Hannah and the audience cheered.

Lady Houdini's showtimes are weekdays during the fair at 6 and 8 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday at 4, 6 and 8 p.m.
