Nearly 400 PSO workers will be leaving for Florida around 7:30 a.m. on Wednesday to help restore power after Hurricane Milton makes landfall.

The team will be assisting Tampa Electric and Florida Power and Light once they arrive.

This latest mission comes just one day after PSO crews returned home after helping restore power to 282,000 customers following Hurricane Helene in Virginia, West Virginia, and Tennessee.

PSO says once the storm makes landfall, crews will get their work assignments and locations to get power back on for communities affected by the storm.

The team includes line crews, servicers, tree trimmers, fleet mechanics, and other personnel.

The National Weather Service says Hurricane Milton could be a once-in-a-century storm and have a storm surge of at least 10 feet.

Right now, there is no time frame for how long PSO plans to be in Florida.
