Cherokee Nation Celebrating Indigenous People's Day With Festival

Monday is Indigenous People's Day and there are a lot of celebrations going on this weekend. And one of those is Beyond the Trail's festival in Stilwell.

News On 6 spoke to Cherokee Nation tribal councilors Joshua Sam and Codey Poindexter with a preview of the event.

The Beyond the Trail festival will be on Saturday from 5 to 8 p.m. at Carson Park in Stilwell. There will be traditional dance, stickball, art, music and food.
