Tulsa Police Arrest Man In Attempted Robbery

Tulsa police arrested a man they say threatened and tried to rob two people outside of a restaurant Sunday morning.

Police say Esteban Barron tried to rob the couple outside Tokyo Garden near 41st Street and Memorial Drive around 9 a.m.

According to police, Barron, who was on a bicycle, initially asked the couple for their phones. When they refused, Barron returned with a crowbar and threatened them.

The situation de-escalated when a man pulled out a knife, causing Barron to flee.

Police later apprehended him near 31st Street and Memorial.

Barron faces a complaint of attempted robbery with a dangerous weapon.
