The Tulsa Zoo is getting into the holiday spirit early this year, with River the Penguin leading the festivities.

The zoo’s annual animal artwork series continues, and this time River is the featured artist.

River, who recently celebrated her second hatch day, created a painting that will be transformed into collectible holiday ornaments.

The ornaments, priced at $25, help support the zoo's operating fund and raise awareness for endangered species like penguins.

The funds are used to provide sustainable fish for the zoo’s penguins. The ornaments are available for purchase on the Tulsa Zoo website and at the zoo’s gift shop.
