Woman Shot, Killed At Tulsa Bus Stop Near 15th And Peoria

Tulsa Police are investigating after a woman was found dead by a bus stop near 15th and Peoria.

Tulsa Police said the woman was found dead around midnight from a gunshot wound to the head. Police had Peoria shut down for several hours overnight - but it is back open this morning.

Police said a man riding a bicycle near this bus stop saw the woman and ran to a nearby business to get help. Officers said he was screaming at people in the McDonald's drive-through trying to get someone to call 911.

When police arrived, they said they found a woman on the sidewalk next to the bus stop. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

Police said they believe the victim was shot by someone inside a vehicle at the time of shooting.

Investigators believe she may have been at this bus stop for around 20 minutes before she was found. Police said the victim appeared to be a woman in her mid-30s.

Police said they know who the woman is but have not released her name.

They say they are actively looking for a suspect.
