The University of Tulsa received a $55,000 check for the student food bank on campus.
The student food bank was started in 2018 and TU says it helps supply food to about 125 students a month.
The school said the money will be used to help re-stock the campus pantry.
"It will support the need as it grows there's so many students in Oklahoma that participate in the free lunch program and people believe that that ends once they start college and that's just simply not true," said Sheila Givens with TU.
The student food bank is open four days a week and students are allowed to get food once a week.
