It’s the final week of the regular season, and we had some big matchups with district titles on the line.
That was the case with Berryhill hosting Cascia Hall, with both teams a perfect 6-0 in league play.
You know it—it’s our Tulsa Tech Game of the Week.
Two great quarterbacks were going at it.
In Class 3A District 4, it’s a showdown of two undefeated teams, a matchup that dates back to the 1960s. A district championship was on the line Friday night as the Chiefs and Commandos went head-to-head in Berryhill.
First quarter: Barrett Mullen showing off his arm. He drops back and lets it fly down the sideline into the end zone to a wide-open Fisher Lai. What a dime! It’s 14-0.
With rain coming down, Mullen hands it off to Owen Darby for a 52-yard run. Darby turns on the jets and takes it to the house. It’s 21-0.
With 35 seconds left in the half, Connor Payne finds Wayne Howell up the middle. Howell breaks several tackles and scores. The Chiefs are on the board at the break.
In the fourth quarter, Darby again takes it to the end zone to put it away.
The final score: 35-14 Cascia Hall.
