Thunder City Edition Uniform Design Pays Tribute To Oklahoma's Resilience And Culture

The Thunder will debut the new Nike City Edition Uniform at Paycom Center on Sunday, Nov 17 against the Dallas Mavericks. The jersey will be available for purchase starting Thursday, Nov. 14.

In collaboration with Nike, the Thunder's new uniform captures Oklahoma City's transformation and momentum over the past two years, reflecting the city's rapid growth and evolving identity.

"This 24-25 City Edition Uniform is a tribute to Oklahoma City's ongoing cultural renaissance—a direct result of the spirit, resilience, and optimism of its people," said Brian Byrnes, Senior VP of Business Operations for the Thunder. "It honors the trailblazers who’ve shaped our culture and continue to push it forward."

The uniform boldly displays "OKLAHOMA" across the chest—a design choice that makes this only the second Thunder jersey to feature the state’s name as its focal point.

The uniform’s base exudes a sense of pride in the state's roots, with the addition of a belt buckle-shaped outline of Oklahoma, symbolizing pride in the present and the ambitious trajectory into the future.

The energetic pops of color along the piping, chest mark, and numbers are a direct nod to Oklahoma City's dynamic atmosphere and the vibrant art scene that fills the community with life and optimism.

The custom side panel pattern, incorporating Thunder logos and wordmarks, visually underscores the idea of progress being built from the ground up, layered through shared experiences, contributions, and perspectives.

Beyond the uniform, the Thunder’s City Edition initiative will bring the City Edition court to life and introduce City Nights—a theme for every Sunday home game starting Nov. 17. On these occasions, the team will don the new uniform and play on the City Edition court, reinforcing Oklahoma City’s pride and growth in full display.
