Several Oklahoma lawmakers are in Washington D.C. for the inauguration of Donald Trump as the 47th President of the United States.

Gov. Kevin Stitt posted to social media, wishing success for Donald Trump as he enters his second term as president.

Both of Oklahoma's members of the US Senate also took to social media, with senior Sen. James Lankford marking the occasion as the return of "common sense."

Later, Lankford also shared a video of him and other lawmakers waiting for the official inauguration ceremony to begin.

Meanwhile, junior Sen. Markwayne Mullin posted on X, formerly known as Twitter, a video saying the American people are "happy and excited" about the change in the nation's leadership.

Mullin also shared video of Donald Trump entering the Capitol Rotunda ahead of the inauguration ceremony.

Later, Mullin shared video on social media showing Donald Trump and JD Vance taking their respective oath of office.

From the House of Representatives, Rep. Stephanie Bice said on social media with the inauguration of Donald Trump, it will be "time to begin implementing an America First agenda."

Rep. Josh Brecheen also posted a video from his location inside the United States Capitol rotunda, where the inauguration is taking place.

Rep. Kevin Hern also shared a statement following the inauguration of President Trump and Vice President Vance:

“This historic inauguration in the Capitol Rotunda hasn’t happened since Ronald Reagan in 1985—a fitting symbol for President Trump. Like Reagan, who ushered in a renaissance of American greatness, President Trump’s inauguration marks the beginning of a new golden age in America. His vision and leadership will secure a brighter future for our nation. Today, we witness the dawn of a new era. I look forward to working with President Trump in Congress to deliver his America First agenda, which the American people overwhelmingly elected him to enact. Together, we will Make America Great Again."
