2 residents displaced by SE OKC fire

An apartment caught fire Wednesday morning in Oklahoma City, according to firefighters.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department said firefighters responded to the scene of a fire at around 3 a.m. near South Shields Boulevard and Southeast Grand Boulevard.

OKCFD said an apartment in the area was fully involved in flames when crews arrived.

The fire was extinguished quickly, although OKCFD said an 18-year-old and his grandmother are now without a place to stay.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
