The final suspect in a stolen vehicle case is now in custody, according to Norman police, following an incident that prompted a secure hold at Noble Public Schools on Monday.

At approximately 9:24 a.m. on Jan. 28, officers with the Noble Police Department stopped a vehicle reported stolen out of Oklahoma City, Noble police said. Four suspects wearing ski masks fled on foot from the vehicle, prompting officers to set up a perimeter and search the area, police said.

Noble Public Schools were placed on a secure hold during the search due to several schools being within the area, according to Noble police.

Officers eventually apprehended three of the four suspects, two of whom were teenaged juveniles, police said. One adult suspect was believed to be armed and remained at large in the Norman area at the time, according to Noble police.

Cleveland County Sheriff’s Office, Norman Police Department, Oklahoma Highway Patrol, and Oklahoma State Parks assisted in the incident.

Norman Police said that around 3:06 p.m., the last suspect was taken into custody near Parkview Terrace and Stinson Street.
