With many Oklahomans getting into the spirit of Valentine's Day, some are even decorating their homes to celebrate.
One of the things you can do to decorate is make your own living wreath to hand around your home.
On Tuesday, the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch visited the Will Rogers Gardens to learn how to make living wreaths.
Kenton Peters, an assistant naturalist with the City of Oklahoma City, said the key to making living wreaths is setting up the plants to survive naturally.
"These are called living wreaths, and they're basically a wreath framed with sphagnum (wheat moss), and then we put our succulents in them," Peters said.
Peters said the structure of the moss helps keep the succulent plants alive.
"You got to saturate the wreath so that it makes it easier to put the succulents into it," Peters said. "A lot of these succulents are just cuttings, and so they root into the wreath themselves, and that kind of holds them in place."
Peters also said he hosts classes to teach people the ways to make their own living wreaths, as well as other projects, year-round.
