The Oklahoma City Community College (OCCC) Visual and Performing Arts Center is set to host Wizard of Oz on Ice, a unique and family-friendly performance this Saturday, February 15th at 7 p.m.

Mark Levine, director of the center, came on the Arca Continental Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to share details on the performance.

Levine shared some behind-the-scenes details, explaining that the show’s stage uses large, seamless plexi tiles instead of actual ice, allowing actors to perform on skates without falling. "If you or I were skating, we'd probably fall all over our face," Levine joked.

While ice performances are typically held in large venues, this production is designed for an intimate theater setting. "It's built for theaters. So it's built for an intimate space," Levine said.

Tickets for the one-night show are available at OCCC's ticket page, with children’s prices offered for families. As always, OCCC provides free parking for attendees.
