Road conditions in OKC: WATCH for a look at multiple crashes due to icy roads

Several crashes have been reported Wednesday morning due to icy roadways caused by winter weather.

In Oklahoma City, News 9 reporter Tevis Hillis was at the scene of a crash along westbound I-40 near Robinson Avenue.

"When you're going fast ... This is what happens," Hillis said.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol responded to the scene of the crash to assist

In northwest Oklahoma City, News 9's Alexis Young reported live from the scene of another wreck along the northbound lanes of the Lake Hefner Parkway.

"There is a lot of ice," Young said. "At least three vehicles on this side of town are sitting in ditches."

Also in northwest Oklahoma City, News 9's Addie Crawford responded to the scene of a wreck along North MacArthur Boulevard near the John Kilpatrick Turnpike.

Crawford said the wreck involved two vehicles, and Oklahoma City Police arrived on the scene to assist.
