**Editor's Note: News 9 originally reported that the vehicle crashed into Lake Overholser. Police have since confirmed that the car crashed into a river near Lake Overholser.**
Police confirm that an adult male is dead after driving into a river near Lake Overholser in NW Oklahoma City on Saturday.
Officers said a caller reported seeing a car drive into the water on the north side of the lake around 9 a.m.
Multiple emergency response agencies were along Route 66 Saturday morning where the crash occurred.
The identity of the victim has not been released.
