The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation is investigating an officer-involved shooting that left a man dead in Apache on Thursday.

The Comanche County Sheriff's Office was called to investigate a shooting around 9 p.m. on Feb. 27th after a 911 caller said they were shot at while driving through the area of 200 Whippoorwill Street.

Deputies went to a nearby home and made contact with a man inside who authorities say opened the door and rushed towards them and pointed a firearm.
