OKC to Get Its Own MONOPOLY Edition Board Game

Oklahoma City is about to be immortalized in one of the world’s most iconic board games with the announcement of the MONOPOLY: Oklahoma City Edition.

Under license from Hasbro, the game will feature local landmarks and attractions, such as Bricktown, the State Capitol, and Frontier City, allowing players to buy and sell properties right in their own city.

On Friday, Mayor David Holt and Zac Craig, President of Visit Oklahoma City, will join the creators of the new edition, and Mr. Monopoly will make a special appearance.

“We are honored to have our great city represented in this iconic board game,” said Mayor David Holt. “Oklahoma City is a wonderful community with so much to celebrate, and we are excited to showcase all we have to offer as part of the MONOPOLY: Oklahoma City Edition game. It’s a testament to the people and places that make our city unique.”

The game will feature several Oklahoma City landmarks and cultural sites, ranging from the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum to the Wheeler Ferris Wheel and Scissortail Park. Instead of the usual properties like Boardwalk and Park Place, the board will showcase Oklahoma’s beloved landmarks, historic places, and businesses. Community Chest and Chance cards will be themed around the city’s life.

Local businesses also have the chance to sponsor properties on the game board, helping to bring the project to life. “We are very grateful to the local business community for supporting this project,” said Katie Hubbard from Top Trumps USA, the maker of the game. “Oklahoma City has so many unique attractions, and we can’t wait to see which ones the community wants to see featured in the game.”

2025 marks the 90th anniversary of MONOPOLY, and Hasbro is celebrating this milestone with special editions like the Oklahoma City version. MONOPOLY, with over one billion players worldwide, continues to be a global phenomenon, offering a competitive and fun experience for players of all ages.

The MONOPOLY: Oklahoma City Edition board game will be officially unveiled and ready for sale at a launch party in November 2025.
