1 injured in NW OKC apartment fire

One person was hurt in a fire that damaged an apartment Monday morning in northwest Oklahoma City, according to firefighters.

The Oklahoma City Fire Department said firefighters were called to an apartment shortly after 8 a.m. near Northwest 122nd Street and North Pennsylvania Avenue.

OKCFD said one person was inside of the apartment when the fire began, and was trapped inside by the flames.

Firefighters were able to rescue that person and treat them on scene for smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is not yet known.
