A new program in the Oklahoma City metro will offer teens and children opportunities to exercise and learn from local mentors.

Sergeant Clay Cline and Josh Yager visited the Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch to discuss the Muscles and Mentors program in more detail.

Cline has been a police officer for 29 years and said he has been into fitness and personal training for 27.

He said that as a community mentor, he was approached by the young people he talks to about working out, and that is how the program came to be.

The program is hosted in partnership with the Police Athletic League, who provides sports programming for certain schools.

Cline said anyone is welcome to participate and get involved.

"We don't like to shut the door on anybody," Cline said. "We really want to get those kids in the corner that don't have anybody. Everybody's looking for a family, and they're going to find it. And so we want to try and help steer them in the right direction, be part of our family."

They are hosting the grand opening of their gym on Saturday, March 15, at 5 p.m.
