The "Oklahoma Standard" was on display Monday as friends, family and strangers helped save a Pawnee County family's home from a wildfire with a volunteer bucket brigade.
The homeowners said they thought there was nothing they could do as flames approached, but they saw unknown individuals dumping water on the fire. Their efforts likely prevented the home from being destroyed.
"It was tremendous just to see," a member of the Wisnoskies family said. "I don't know who you are, and I was like, 'Thanks for coming out. I appreciate it.'"
The Terlton Fire Station is accepting donations for those who have lost their homes.
