Cowboys advance in NIT Tournament, set to face North Texas

The Oklahoma State Cowboys advance to the NIT Tournament quarterfinals after a win over Southern Methodist on Sunday.

The Cowboys began the tournament with an 89-79 win over Wichita State before beating SMU 85-83 in the second round.

Next up, OSU will face the North Texas Mean Green on Tuesday.

If the Cowboys win, their semifinal opponent will be the winner of Wednesday's matchup between the University of California, Irvine, and the University of Alabama at Birmingham (UAB).

Tuesday's matchup tips off at 8 p.m. at Hinkle Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Indiana.
