Ahead of the 30th anniversary of the Oklahoma City Bombing, the gateway leading into Downtown along Northwest 6th Street has been illuminated as part of a partnership between the city and multiple organizations.

The "Be the Light" display was a collaborative effort between the City of Oklahoma City, the Oklahoma City National Memorial & Museum and the Downtown OKC Partnership.

The OKCNMM said the illumination is a gift to Oklahoma City for the city's support over the past 30 years.

The memorial foundation said the illumination is "a powerful symbol of how light has emerged from a day of darkness."
