Oklahoma City police have arrested two murder suspects in connection to two separate cases. One suspect was taken into custody for a deadly shooting at an apartment complex and the other man is accused in a Fentanyl overdose.

Deadly shooting in Oklahoma City

Witnesses reported hearing several gunshots at the Classen 16 apartments near northwest 16th Street and Classen Boulevard last Wednesday night. When officers showed up, they found 21-year-old Malik Wilson on the sidewalk in critical condition from gunshot injuries.

“They encountered one male subject down and began rendering aid,” said Lt. Robert Allen, Oklahoma City Police Department.

Police said Wilson died at the hospital. While on scene, homicide investigators learned Mareon Walter, 20, showed up at a local hospital with a gunshot injury to his foot. Investigators were able to track Walter's movements through his GPS ankle monitor placing him at the apartment at the time of the deadly shooting. Walter was arrested and booked into jail the day after the shooting.

Suspect accused in Oklahoma City overdose

The second homicide suspect was taken into custody last Friday. Police said Christian Roe, 25, is accused of buying Fentanyl and smoking it with the victim. Police said 19-year-old Karsyn Clifton's body was found at a southwest Oklahoma City home in February.

“Police arrived there they began examining the scene, believe this person was deceased and saw some evidence there to suggest this was an overdose,” said Sgt. Dillon Quirk, Oklahoma City Police Department.

According to court papers, police found drug paraphernalia near Clifton's body. Roe told investigators he attempted to give the victim first aid but she was already dead.

Roe was arrested at a home in Moore and booked into jail on a first-degree murder complaint. Roe and Walter have not been charged by the Oklahoma County District Attorney’s Office.
