Pet of the Week: Bertha

Our Pet of the Week is Bertha, a 6-year-old mix that has 72 pounds of energy and love for everyone.

On today's Coca-Cola Southwest Beverages Porch, Tevis Hillis speaks with Brittany Crow Cross with the Oklahoma Humane Society about Bertha and her senior quirks.

Bertha is available at the Oklahoma Humane Society Adoption Center at 7500 N Western Avenue, and all available pets can be seen at their website.

"She loves to play, loves other dogs. She's a senior, but you cannot really tell because she has so much energy," Cross said. "She loves every human in the world, including children."

Cross mentioned Bertha does well in her kennel at the Adoption Center, and is staying with another foster who also works for OK Humane.

This weekend also brings OK Humane's Poochella, a fundraiser with kid, pet and owner friendly activities.

Poochella will be at Lower Scissortail Park Saturday, April 12th from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. 

The event will offer giveaways, merch and many activities for dogs and owners alike.
