The Tulsa based developer is turning the Gold Dome at the corner of NW 23rd and Classen into a concert venue, and tells News 9 renovation construction could begin this year.
Mike Brown, with Kismet Koncerts, says construction material availability could push the start date back to early 2026.
Once construction begins, Brown thinks the 2000-3000 seat capacity concert venue could be completed in 8 months.
In January, the OKC City Council approved a $10 million plan to renovate the historic Gold Dome at the corner of NW 23rd and Classen. $3 million would come from tax increment financing (TIF) and $7 million from private investment.

The Economic Alliance tells News 9 it’s still negotiating certain details of the TIF agreement with Kismet Koncerts, which operates venues in Wichita and Pineville, MO.
“The building is iconic,” says Brown whose son lives in OKC and thinks the Gold Dome will be a “catalyst” for development nearby.
Originally Citizens State Bank, the Gold Dome has faced the threat of demolition since its last tenants vacated the property in the 1990’s. It first opened its doors in 1958.
