An Oklahoma City metro substitute teacher has been arrested after a police investigation into alleged misconduct.

Police were called to a Greenvale Elementary School student's home by a parent after their child told them the substitute touched them inappropriately and forced them to sit on his lap.

Investigators say Randy McAroy was hired to work at Greenvale Elementary School in the Western Heights School District through a third-party service.

According to the service, McAroy substituted 93 times at five schools since August.

School officials told police McAroy was involved in a previous incident where another teacher found him with a student in his lap and the classroom lights off.

McAroy could face multiple charges of lewd acts with a child under 14.

News 9 reached out to the Oklahoma State Department of Education, who said they are looking into the incident.
