Oklahoma City to award medals in 7 events for 2028 Olympics

Oklahoma City will host seven gold medal events in the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics, according to the full Olympic Games schedule released by LA28.

The schedule for the 2028 Los Angeles Olympic Games has been released, and Oklahoma City will be the home of multiple events.

LA28, the organizing committee for the 2028 games, released the official programme for the Olympics, which shows Oklahoma City will host seven total gold medal events.

Six of the medals will come from watersports, and involve the men's and women's Kayak, Canoe Single and Kayak Cross races in the Canoe Slalom event.

On April 8, the Oklahoma City Council voted to adopt a resolution to host the canoe slalom and softball events.

The last medal will come from the games' softball event.

The Olympic Games are set to begin on June 14, 2028.
