Woman sentenced for hitting and killing Westmoore High School student

Felony charges against a 70-year-old woman who fatally struck a teenage motorcyclist in 2022 in Moore have been reduced to negligent homicide.

Felony charges have been dropped against a 70-year-old woman who struck and killed a Westmoore High School student with a vehicle in 2022.

Investigators say Judy Todd was under the influence of prescription medication when she backed out of a driveway and hit 17-year-old Kolby Dutton on his motorcycle.

Dutton was wearing a helmet, but died at the scene.

Todd was originally charged with felony manslaughter, but her charges were downgraded to negligent homicide.

Todd will serve a 3-year deferred sentence.
