Norman City Council members decided Tuesday to postpone a vote on a phasing plan for the new Rock Creek Entertainment District.

The phasing plan, which can be found in the meeting agenda, times out the development and spending related to each part of the project.

Based on the current plan, the $325 million sports complex for the University of Oklahoma is set to be built between November 1, 2026, and December 31, 2029.

In addition to the sports complex, the Rock Creek District is set to bring significant development to the area, including 3,000 new housing units and 5,000 new jobs.

The council will now vote on May 20.
