The platform is designed to eliminate long wait times and unreliable listings by prioritizing immediacy and trust.
Founder and CEO R.M. Easterly launched Thyim after a personal experience left her stranded during winter without timely help. That frustration, combined with insights gained from working in gig economy jobs, inspired the creation of a people-powered solution for urgent everyday needs.
"This isn’t about convenience, it’s about immediacy," Easterly said. "When something unexpected happens, people don’t want to wait hours or search through listings. They want trusted help, right now. That’s what Thyim delivers."
Before expanding to Tulsa, Thyim quietly launched a beta test in Detroit. Despite no paid advertising, the app quickly gained traction:
To support its Tulsa launch, Thyim partnered with Family Promise of Tulsa County to create flexible economic opportunities. The collaboration connects people seeking extra income with real-time tasks submitted through the app.
"This isn’t gig work. It’s a reimagined, neighborhood-based solution built to scale," Easterly said.
Thyim is now available on both the App Store and Google Play. For a limited time, first-time users in Tulsa can get 50% off their first request.
