Lots of us remember the rock bands of decades ago, but not many remember the posters advertising the concerts by those bands. News On 6's Rick Wells reports a Tulsa man not only remembers them, he collects them.

They are hanging on the walls and the ceiling of his studio. It's a room he refers to as his cave.

"Every guy's got to have a cave where he can go to and hibernate," said Jack Lunsford, Artist-Collector.

Hibernate and think about stuff. In this case, the stuff is everywhere you look, posters and hand bills promoting concerts. He has spectacular ones featuring the Grateful Dead, Santana and lots of others.

Lunsford started going to concerts for the music, then noticed the promotional artwork.

"I thought, you know, I think I'm gonna just collect this stuff," said Lunsford.

And he has, not for the musical artists, but the art in the posters.

"This is all before computer art. All this lettering and color paste-up was all done by hand," said Lunsford.

Lunsford says he saw The Doors play in their last 11 shows. He has posters of the group on the ceiling. The best poster art, The Rolling Stones and Grateful Dead.

"The Rembrandt of all concert posters was Rick Griffin," said Lunsford.

Lunsford has an entire wall of his work. It's one artist admiring another. Jack does wonderful collage art and if you think about it, his studio, or cave as he calls it, is one big collage.
