The growling grunts and the painful pleasure. Powerlifter Dustin Cichon doesn't mind shouldering the weight.
"Keeps me in shape, keeps me focused, keeps me going," Cichon said.
Over time the 20-year-old has built up lots of bulk. Dustin can dead lift and bench press 255 pounds, while squatting 360. It's a big feat for a little person. Dustin stands 4-foot-3 and weighs 114 pounds.
"People might think we can't lift that much. Yeah we can," Cichon said. "I'm not small, I'm just a regular person like everyone else."
Dustin's dealt with dwarfism all his life. Rep after rep with his weights reveals a sensational spirit, something that's propelled him toward multiple medals from the Special Olympics, world records and international fame.
While visiting China, he was labeled, "little strong man." His persistence has shown nothing can weigh him down.
"I want to show them I can lift more than just talk more," Cichon said. "I just want to lift, lift weights."
