TULSA, OK -- Some Tulsa elementary school kids collected over 10,000 pounds of food for the needy.
Mingo Valley Christian School students divided into teams to compete against each other during their Sprit Week.
"I get the pride of working hard and I get the joy of knowing that someone gets what we've worked for and that's a reward all in itself," said 6th grader Aleksey Polanco.
The event makes Mingo Valley Christian School the largest single provider for the John 3:16 Mission's Food Bank. It feeds thousands of families every year.
