New Details Offer Hope In Glenpool Woman's 1993 Disappearance

Two decades after a Glenpool mother vanished without a trace, new leads offer hope.

Investigators said 24-year-old Tracey Samuels went on a job interview in 1993, but she was never seen again.

"My whole life has changed," Samuels' daughter Kristina Ritzhaupt said. "I mean not only did it affect my life, but it affects every generation after me because my child doesn't have a grandmother. His kids won't have a great-grandmother."

Ritzhaupt was just 7 years old when her mother disappeared.

Investigators said Tracey's pickup was found in a West Tulsa parking lot where a witness saw her get into a Chevy flatbed with a man.

Some believe she may have left willingly, but Kristina isn't one of them.

"I just know she wouldn't have left me and my little brother," Rizhaupt said. "There's just no way."

Decades later, tips lead Glenpool Police and the FBI to a Tulsa property.

"We've received information that this may be a place she may have been buried at," Glenpool Det. Tracy Powell said.

After a three-day search, they came up empty-handed.

However, Kristina is still hopeful since investigators are not giving up.

"It came up with nothing so far, but we don't know that we aren't in the right location," Ritzhaupt said. "We have a much bigger area to still search."

The search continues.

"There's people out there that have answers to some of our questions and we're still hoping they'll come forward," Powell said.

Kristina said this search isn't about finding the person responsible, but finding closure.

"I just want to find her," Ritzhaupt said. "I want to be able to put her in a proper place, so that my family and I have a place to go and honor her memory. That's what's important to us."

Despite not finding her mom, Kristina's family says they're grateful for everyone who helped with the search.
